Returns

At Opera Montis Limited, we approach the handling of each work with due care. Due to the archival nature of the materials used, the limited availability of each work, and the conditions required to preserve their integrity, all sales are considered final.

We do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind. Each work is produced, handled, and dispatched under strict archival standards, and cannot be reintroduced into inventory once delivered. Collectors are encouraged to review all available information prior to acquisition, including dimensions, materials, and presentation.

Each original work by Phiré is a unique, non-fungible acquisition.

Due to their irreplaceable nature and the environmental sensitivity required to preserve the archival integrity of the materials, all original artworks are final sale and not eligible for return except under the conditions outlined below.

All limited edition prints are produced to order with archival processes and materials. As such, all print sales are final and not eligible for return except under the conditions outlined below.

Exception: Verified Damage or Misrepresentation

A return or refund may be considered only in rare cases, where:

  • The artwork arrives physically damaged, or

  • The artwork is materially different from what was described

All such cases are subject to verification.

Damage and Discrepancy Claims
Please inspect your order upon receipt. If you receive a damaged or defective item, contact us within 24 hours of delivery with photographic and video evidence.

If an artwork arrives damaged, or is found to be materially different from the specific dimensions or primary artwork images advertised, you must inform us to initiate a claim within 48 hours of delivery.

A “material difference” claim is strictly limited to:

  • Delivery of an incorrect artwork, or

  • A physical dimensional discrepancy exceeding 5% of stated specifications

Styled, contextual, or lifestyle images are not grounds for a claim.

Required Evidence for Claims:
To facilitate a claim, you must provide:

  • Clear high-resolution video of the unboxing process (if damage is suspected).

  • Photographs of the external crate/packaging, the internal protective buffers, and the artwork itself.

  • Important: You must retain all original packaging materials. Disposal of packaging before a claim is resolved will void your eligibility for a refund.

Exclusions:
The following are not eligible for return or claims:

  • Damage resulting from

    • Improper handling after delivery

    • Skin oil contact

    • Environmental exposure (including humidity or UV)

  • Third-party framing or alteration

Claim Resolution:
Where a claim is verified, we will determine an appropriate resolution, which may include a refund or a partial refund.

For limited edition archival prints, replacements or exchanges are not offered. Where a resolution requires a new print, a separate order will be placed. This approach ensures the integrity and accurate accounting of each limited edition.

We reserve the right to require the return of the artwork via our designated fine art courier prior to issuing any refund, in order to protect the Artist’s secondary market.

Refunds will only be processed upon receipt of the returned work or confirmed proof of delivery.

All refunds are issued to the original payment method within 14 business days following resolution.

Returns Approval
In the rare cases where a return is approved (e.g., damage or misrepresentation), the following conditions apply:

  • Returns must be initiated within 7 days of receiving the artwork.

  • The artwork must be returned in its original condition and packaging.

  • Proof of purchase is attached.

The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs and must ensure the artwork is fully insured during transit.

All returns must be approved in writing prior to dispatch.

Returns must be approved prior to dispatch. Items returned without prior approval may not be accepted.

Return Shipping Costs
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer and are not refundable, even where a return is approved and eligible for a refund. We do not charge any restocking fees.

Non-Returnable Items
The following items are non-returnable:

  • Custom or commissioned works

  • Special orders or personalised order

  • Gift cards

European Union & UK Customers
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union or UK, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without justification.

  • Condition: Returned items must be in the same condition as received, unused, in their original packaging (including undisturbed glassine protection), and accompanied by proof of purchase.

  • Exemptions: This right does not apply to

    • Original artworks

    • Made-to-order or bespoke prints

Opera Montis Limited reserves the right to update or modify these policies at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the Website. Your continued use of the Website or acquisition of artworks following any such changes constitutes your agreement to be bound by the updated policies.
