Part of The Archives of Stillness series, this painting was originally rendered in gouache.
The Chicken Rock Lighthouse stands on a reef visible only for a few hours each day. Damaged by fire in 1960 and later restored, it remains in place.
Observed from a fixed vantage point and stylised to convey stillness.
