Part of the Remembrance Collection, this painting was originally rendered in gouache.
A testament to diligent stewardship, the Chicken Rock Lighthouse in Isle of Man has stood for over a century on the very rock it was built to warn against, a rock visible for only about five hours each day.
Built in 1875 to safeguard a treacherous route in the Irish Sea where earlier measures had failed, the lighthouse is now fully automated following a fire in 1960. Its presence reflects the ongoing care required to sustain what has been built.
Each impression is produced on Hahnemühle Photo Rag® 308gsm, a premium 100% cotton archival paper with a fine smooth matte surface.
The paper features a subtle, velvety texture that lends depth while retaining the finest tonal detail. Printed using pigment-based inks, the work meets museum standards for longevity and stability.
